Yes, this was six days ago (I’m sorry for being late with
this news!). Watching the Olympics was absolutely mind-blowing. It is
amazing what athletes can do, the amount of training that must have taken! I’m
sure everyone else that watched is thinking the same thing, “Why can’t I do
that?!”.
Anyway, straying away from the point a bit there, the Brit pop culture. What with Annie
Lennox, Jessie J, Take That, the Spice Girls… plus some of the greatest British
models, including Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, gowns and gorgeous outfits are
to be expected.
My personal faves:
1.
Annie Lennox: her red and black, Halloween + theatre-esque dress, her dancers’ dresses… just the theatricality
and over-the-top attitude. Honestly, it kept making me think of the “Rocky
Horror Picture Show” and “Dracula” had some very stylish offspring.
2.
Kate Moss: no her dress was not the greatest
we’ve seen her in, but she is just gorgeous. From her hair to her figure, damn
she makes me jealous.
3.
Take That: probably one of my favorite British
bands to date. If any of you haven’t heard it yet get on Youtube and listen to
“Love Love” by Take That (if you
think it sounds familiar, it was on the X-Men First Class Soundtrack and is one
of my absolute favorite songs by them, also one of the first ones I listened
to). Outfit-wise, their jackets are classic soldier inspired detail jackets, and yes they really do always coordinate
their clothes like that.
